Nailah Hunter is a California-based composer, harpist, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist whose work explores experimental harp music through ambient, folk, and electronic sound worlds. Drawing from classical training, contemporary experimental practices, and mysticism, her compositions blend harp, voice, electronics, and field recordings to create immersive, otherworldly landscapes. She has released music on Leaving Records and Fat Possum Records, including her debut album Lovegaze (2024), praised for its atmospheric depth and imaginative scope. Hunter’s practice is informed by ecological themes, fantasy, and embodied listening, expanding the harp beyond traditional expectations into new sonic territory.
